What to expect at an event

There are two ways you can join in on the fun:

• Stop by and meet our team, and spend a few minutes waving with us (best value!)
• Drive by and honk for Jason and friends (also recommended!)

Some of the events will be very exciting, sometimes with truck parades, organized drive-bys, activities, and appearances by first responders and their vehicles. Others will be low-key, but always with plenty of honking and waving. Shoot us an email if you’d like to know what events we especially recommend or have any other questions.

At each of our locations, there will be at least limited parking, plenty of cars, cold water, and a variety of snacks. At many of the events we are expecting disabled friends and classmates of Jason to be joining in on the fun.

We will also have a counter that will be recording all the donations we have received so far this year.

Be creative! We would love to see signs, musical instruments, unique dance routines, juggling acts, whatever you might think would add life to the event! What fun talent for attracting attention can you bring?

We will often be taking pictures and video of the event–please let us know if you do not wish to have your likeness on our social media outlets. Local media stations will also be present at some events.

Please be cautious, as each location has a busy street with lots of cars and trucks speeding by.

There will be a Venmo option and a donation jar for folks who are interested in helping support our awesome partners, St Joseph Home and the Mason Youth Organization. Please consider a contribution to these two terrific organizations for disabled kids and adults.

We are COVID-cautious, while we are not requiring masks at this time, please have one handy. We do have St Joseph Home residents and others who are medically fragile and/or unable to vaccinate joining us at some events, so please be respectful of their health needs.
